Project Description
Tales of Grog is a first person RPG prototype, developed solely by me in the Unity Engine. In this game you play as Grog, and receive quests to defeat enemies, which in turn can drop gold and procedurally generated items.
Features
Unique Item generation system
Each Item has a base type, material, and enchant. So a weapon can be a Shoddy Golden Gun, or a Exceptional Slimy Sword, etc.
With 7 Base Items, 7 materials, and 8 enchants, Makes 336 unique weapons and each new type is easily addable in the managers.
Combat
Each weapon type has a light attack on left click, and heavy attack on right click. Each are customizable with stats based on what kind of weapon was made.
Quests
Npcs can have quest objects assigned to them which the player can interact with to obtain. Each quest can be accepted and added into the quest log.
Shops
Works sort of like an autobattler shop, such as TFT, where shopkeeper roll their items, and until the player chooses to reroll those items will stay in the shopkeepers inventory. This way the player has to choose whether to spend their gold on what was given to them, or try to reroll for a chance at something better.
Cutscenes
The game features animated cutscenes, that can be triggered at various points in the game.
Slimy Survival Minigame
A side zone, where the player faces endless hordes of slimes, which they must try and push through to destroy the spawners and upgrade their loot.
