Project Description
Idle Grog Frontier is a "Clicker" style game, where the objective was to collect all of the various "Grogs".
Features
30+ Grogs! The main feature of this game is to have many rare grogs for the player to find. Once the player gains enough money grogs in the shop are "discovered" and the player can purchase them and they will spawn in the play area. Each grog grants the player more damage against enemy's which can earn them more gold and loot. Other grogs can be unlocked through boss encounters and other secret ways to make the game more interactable.
7 Different worlds, which are a class that contains new gold and health scaling for enemies within the region, as well as preset encounters that can spawn within that world. These encounters handle things like new enemy types as well as the bosses of the regions, and what they can drop.
7 Bosses, currently 1 for each world, each boss is a custom made sprite, which can have different animations and looks based on its current health, once the boss is defeated the player is given a spin of a loot wheel, based on the bosses current pool. This pool contains permanent items to improve certain stats, rare otherwise non-unlockable grogs, money, or grog upgrades.
8 Items, these are gained from the bosses and grant the player permanent upgrades to help them scale into later parts of the game. These upgrades include better offline gold generation, a chance to critical strike on attack, more money from the rare flying slime drops, etc.
This game features a save and load feature, which allows the player to keep their grogs, gold, items, and discovery list.
Various points of the game allow the player to watch an optional ad to increase their rewards for certain events.
